13. The Lachine Marina

The Lachine Marina was established more than a century ago on the banks of the St. Lawrence. But now it's coming to an end. The marina has been shut down and is being converted into a public park. The borough says it's simply too expensive to keep it afloat. But the decision isn't going down well with boaters who have taken the city to court. We ask the experts if there's room for public money to be spent on facilities like private marinas.

He enjoys sports but hates going to the gym; he goes, but he hates it! He's got a blog and he tweets, too!

Paul Gott

EDITOR-IN-CHIEF - Paul has been involved in Montreal media for 40 years. He began in print, writing for the Gazette and other publications. He was a founding member of the Montreal Mirror and published the music tabloid RearGarde. He then moved to television where he started as Researcher and Assignment Editor at CTV. He went on to produce the evening news for both Global and CBC for a decade and a half. He also teaches Journalism at Concordia, works as a political commentator and fronts Punk band, Ripcordz.
